Banda Emo e indie de los 90's con sede en boston. Esta gran banda no paso de los 90's pero con sus dos grabaciones dejaron un eslavon inquebrantable en el camino de evolucion de la rama mas Post Rock del Emo e indie Pop, Con un sonido timido y torpe entremezcla de Karate con Christie Front Drive como tambien de Promise Ring y Braid, y con un poco de genialidad vocal, fueron creando las bases del nuevo sonido que The Appleseed Cast tambien andaba realizando pero que The Shyness Clinic fue el lado mas popular y honesto, lastima que no muchos se asociaron este sonido y la banda paso casi inadvertida, al final logro una considerable atencion con su EP editado para apoyar la gira promocional del la recien creada web de descarga y compra de material musical "Insound" empresa que se dedica hasta ahora a promocionar bandas Indie Rock, The Shyness Clinic es toda una joya y con una discografia que vale la pena, pueden escuchar sus canciones por el facebook ya que no tienen ni Myspace ni Last FM:

Play Attenchon

Play Attenchon es una banda de Hardcore Melodico Tecnico (Skatecore) peruana.
Reconocidos en la escena Hardcore Punk limeña debido a su particular sonido, basado en la rapidez y tecnisismo del Hardcore melodico.
Presentaron unos cuantos demos (en estos tienen un sonido un poco distinro al actual Play Attencho) y despues lanzaron su primer disco "La Ilusion que llevas" editado en Peru y despues promocionado a nivel mundial para la escena Skatecore, mediante la ya muy famosa Bells On Records. Asi cobraron fama rapidamente a nivel internacional, participando en un disco Tributo a 88 Fingers Louie (selfish means), y un Tributo a Belvedere.
Por ultimo hace pocos meses ediaton un 4 way split con las bandas Actionmen, Forus y Hero Of Our Time.

Banda Fundamental del Emo, Indie de Cleveland, Ohio. Pues Todo comenzo como un proyecto Post Hardcore de Myk Porter, guitarrista de la mitica banda Hardcore, Metalcore "Six Feet Deep" al diluirse esta, Brandtson paso a ser una banda de tiempo completo con la adicion de los miembros de la ya disuelta banda y con el que realizan su album debut "Letterbox" donde lucen un Post Hardcore Oscuro, Grave y a medio camino de ser caotico pero donde ya podemos observar su influencia del emo de los 90's cosa que se concretaria con el single "Holly Park" y abriria camino hacia el nuevo sonido Emo, Indie "Fallen Star Collection" del que le seguiria el aclamadisimo EP "Trying to Figure Each Other Out" donde toman influencia del Pop Punk y de Rock Alternativo, ademas logran esa armonia vocal a dos voces orientando melodicamente que futuras bandas del nuevo Emo comercial imitarian tales como "Funeral For A Friend" y "Brand New". Siguiendo la misma linea pero ahora mas Indie: "Dial In Sounds" es tambien un clasico del genero, llegaria despues "Send Us A Signal" donde marcaria el Progreso de la banda hacia un sonido donde crean atmosferas de guitarras limpias, lentas y con ganchos melodicos, que van bien acompañados con teclados y a veces con una guitarra de arrogancia punk pop, el siguiente disco "Hello Control" con harta influencia del Dance Punk del que sobresale "Earthquakes & Sharks" cancion que escuche en la radio por alla en el 2006 y que casi pasa al olvido ya que nunca supe el nombre de la banda hasta ahora... xD, sin duda una banda muy recomendable y con una discografia imperdible.

Koffin Kats

Fantastico grupo de Psychobilly / Horror Punk Nortemericano, bueno como es clasico en estas bandas intentan no definirse en casilla alguna. Pues bien en parte tienen razon , Koffin Kats se formo en Michingan en el 2003, de la mano de Vic Victor y T Bags, tras una serie de cambios en la bateria, por fin mantuvieron fijo este lugar y se dieron a la tarea de editar discos.
Desde el comienzo la banda se ha comprometido con el sonido rabioso del Psychobilly americano, asi podemos verlo como el clasico Psychobilly con mas acercamiento al Punk, del cual toman su velocidad y desenfado ante todo. Asi nos envuelven en temas llenos de furia entre los que relatan historias de terror, violencia, drogas y todo aquello que sea tachado actualmente como moralmente incorrecto.
Hace poco lanzaron su ultimo disco "Forever For Hire", un disco que no supera las expectativas generadas por su anterior trabajo pero sin embargo no muestra un decaimiento en la banda, es mas presenta a unos Koffin Kats, que nos dicen que aun siguen ahi, dandole a las locuras.
Personalmente me encanta el disco Inhumane y el disco que posiblemente glorifique de ellos es "Drunk in the daylight", el mejor disco de la banda hasta ahora.

Banda Emo, Indie de Chicago, Illinois. Con miembros de Braid, Friction, Gainer y Haymarket Riot, fue un proyecto que realizo un sonido emo a lo Indian Summer y Lync, un sonido que equilibra lo agresivo y viceral con melodias de guitarras persistentes y energeticas a lo Built To Spill, la voz de Bob Nanna es el otro atractivo pues esta vez toma el control de las melodias y los tonos, cosa que no hacia con Braid en aquellos tiempos, pero termino haciendolo y creo que por eso Braid se paso de ser una banda desconocida banda Post Hardcore a ser uno de los mas influyentes del emo, bueno Orwell existio entre los años 94 y 95, pero es todo un grupo de culto en el Midwest emo.

The Frog se una joven banda de Psychobilly Suiza, de momento han sacado un bonito disco llamado The Sick Demo Of The Frogs, trabajo en el cual plasman su aventura musical llena de multiples pasajes de psychobilly y neo rockabilly.
Me ha llamado la atencion su descripcion en el Myspace: Most frogs have a alcoholic lifestyle, but move
easily to nuclear area or psychobilly gigs by jumping or climbing. They
typically lay their eggs in beer, ponds, dead bodies or lakes, and their larvae,
called Kaulquappenkrew or Quapies, have gills and develop in water
as a murdering mass. Adult frogs follow a carnivorous diet, mostly of children,
aliens and leprechauns. Frogs are most noticeable by their scream,
which can be widely heard during the night or day, mainly when they are drunk.
