Kill Your Idols fue una banda de Hardcore Punk Neoyorquina, activa desde 1995 hasta el 2007. La banda citaba como influencia a las miticas bandas del hardcore primitivo Minor Threat, 7 Seconds, Negative Approach, etc. Por lo que el sonido de KYI es altamente similar a la de estas bandas, asi fue una banda que buscaba revilatizar el sonido originario del hardcore americano, canciones rapidas, con la capacidad de transmitir energia, como solo el hardcore ha demostrado hacerlo.
