Orwell

Banda Emo, Indie de Chicago, Illinois. Con miembros de Braid, Friction, Gainer y Haymarket Riot, fue un proyecto que realizo un sonido emo a lo Indian Summer y Lync, un sonido que equilibra lo agresivo y viceral con melodias de guitarras persistentes y energeticas a lo Built To Spill, la voz de Bob Nanna es el otro atractivo pues esta vez toma el control de las melodias y los tonos, cosa que no hacia con Braid en aquellos tiempos, pero termino haciendolo y creo que por eso Braid se paso de ser una banda desconocida banda Post Hardcore a ser uno de los mas influyentes del emo, bueno Orwell existio entre los años 94 y 95, pero es todo un grupo de culto en el Midwest emo.

The Frog se una joven banda de Psychobilly Suiza, de momento han sacado un bonito disco llamado The Sick Demo Of The Frogs, trabajo en el cual plasman su aventura musical llena de multiples pasajes de psychobilly y neo rockabilly.
Me ha llamado la atencion su descripcion en el Myspace: Most frogs have a alcoholic lifestyle, but move
easily to nuclear area or psychobilly gigs by jumping or climbing. They
typically lay their eggs in beer, ponds, dead bodies or lakes, and their larvae,
called Kaulquappenkrew or Quapies, have gills and develop in water
as a murdering mass. Adult frogs follow a carnivorous diet, mostly of children,
aliens and leprechauns. Frogs are most noticeable by their scream,
which can be widely heard during the night or day, mainly when they are drunk.

Envydust

Envydust es una banda brasileña de Post hardcore. Lanzaron su primer disco en el 2005 bajo el nombre de Quando estar vivo não basta, un excelente disco que te tiene enganchado desde principio a fin, altamente dinamico, con este disco la banda se dio a conocer tanto en su pais como en alrededores, en momentos en el cual el termino Post hardcore y Emo comenzaron a ser malinterpretados.
Tres años despues aparece su segundo disco "Um" que se mantiene en lineas generales aun dentro del Post Hardcore, pero las canciones se vuelven un poco mas densas y melodiosas, en comparacion al anterior disco, de este disco resalta la cancion "O Leilão Do Lote 77".
Envydust ha tocado junto a The Used, Hopesfall, Alesana, Propagandhi, Satanic Surfers, The Draft, etc.

Everyone Asked About You

Banda Emo, Indie de Little Rock, AR. A mi parecer esta banda realizo uno de los mejores 7" del emo de los 90's, el sonido emo indie pop con harta influencia de The Promise Ring guiado por una desesperanzadora y celestial voz femenina mas tragica que la vocalista de Pohgoh, que a veces alterna con un vocal masculino algo asi como lo que hacia Rainer Maria en sus comienzos, cabe destacar las guitarras y feedbacks desgarradores que son bien acompañados con un teclado en algunas canciones, las letras tratan sobre historias dolorosas de incertidumbre y relaciones turbulentas "desapareciste... todos me preguntaron por ti y no tengo idea" y parece que asi fue ya que no hay casi nada de informacion de la banda en la red toda una joya del genero. Esta entrada esta dedicada para mi esposita....

Schoolyard Heroes

Schoolyard Heroes es una banda un tanto dificil de clasificar( miren las etiquetas de esta entrada), si bien muchas veces se le asocia al Horror Punk debido a que la base es Punk rock contemporaneo plagado de historia de zombies, la muerte, violencia y demas cositas que hacen tan hermoso al horror punk, tambien se aprecia su apego al Post hardcore, motivado por la asombrosa voz de la vocalista principal, e incluso algunas canciones tienen contribuciones del Pop.
Ante toda esta mezcla de generos, es obvio que nos encontramos ante una excelente banda que no solo se queda en el punk rock melodico, si no que va mucho mas alla, y dos cosas sobretodo sobresalen, la voz de la vocalista, la facilidad por cambiar los tonos de su voz y las distintas intensidades a traves de cada cancion, y los riff de guitarra, poco comunes.

The Untamed es una banda danesa que se mueve entre lo que puede ser una mezcla de Punk, rockabilly, garagerock, horrortrash, blues y country todo sasonadito con historias macabras.
Han sacado tres discos, el mas reciente se titula "Delicious Death" y es un disco asombroso, algo novedoso para aquellos que gustemos del Horror Punk. Lamtentablemente aun no consigo sus discos anteriores, si no los hubiera subido tambien.

The Adicts

The Adicts es una legendaria banda de Punk Rock britanica, se formaron en 1975 en momentos en el cual el punk rock se estaba gestando como genero musical y movimiento contracultural. Desde entonces se han mantenido con los mismos miebros originales, a traves de mas de 30 años de trayectoria musical.
Su musica se basa en lo mas elemental del punk rock en su lado mas divertido, genial y fresco, fueron de las primeras bandas en optar por realizar un punk rock con mucho humor, asi decidieron darle mas color a sus presentaciones adoptando como vestuario las botas con pantalones y camisas blancas, imitando a los personajes de la pelicula La Naranja Mecanica. Sobretodo resalta su carismatico vocalista Monkey, el unico que usa maquillaje a semenjanza de un Joker, al ver los videos actuales de The Adicts tal pareciera que el tiempo no ha pasado por esta banda.

I Have Dreams fue una banda norteamericana de Screamo, activa entre 1998 y 1999, nacio despues de la muerte del guitarrista de la banda New Ethic, cuando los demas miembros deciden crear una banda tributo a su amigo. Rejected Youth

Rejected Youth es una banda alemanda de Street Punk con cerca de 12 años de trayectoria, comenzaron en el verano del 98 bajo la influencia de las antiguas bandas de hardcore norteamericanas y la escena UK 82, de donde rescatarian la mayor influencia en cuanto a estilo de musica y vida.
Junto a Oxymoron y SS-Kaliert serian las bandas mas representativas de la actual escena streetpunk alemana, y es de mas notar el parecido con Oxymoron, pero muy aparte de eso las bandas van muy bien de la mano, e incluso en el disco Public Disorder cuentan con la participacion de la gente de Oxymoron.
Y com ellos mismos se definen. "Rejected Youth es un grupo que con sus canciones y arte, despiertan a las personas ante las injusticias, para que pueden activarse y comenzar a pensar".
