Kill Your Idols fue una banda de Hardcore Punk Neoyorquina, activa desde 1995 hasta el 2007. La banda citaba como influencia a las miticas bandas del hardcore primitivo Minor Threat, 7 Seconds, Negative Approach, etc. Por lo que el sonido de KYI es altamente similar a la de estas bandas, asi fue una banda que buscaba revilatizar el sonido originario del hardcore americano, canciones rapidas, con la capacidad de transmitir energia, como solo el hardcore ha demostrado hacerlo. Los temas? pues los clasicos, denuncia politico social, inconformidad, depresion, y todos los problemas de los juventud actual.
